Have you ever heard the idiom 
“It’s not rocket science."? 

This idiom means it’s not complicated. 
How come it is this idiom? 

It’s used quite a bit. I looked it up on 
Youglish and saw 352 examples in American English.  

Here is an example of when I might use it:
I used to live in New York city and I remember  

my mom visited me and she was intimidated by 
taking the subway by herself. I said “Mom, it’s  

not rocket science, there are signs everywhere and 
I’ll give you a map. It’s not that complicated. 

That’s it. It’s not that rocket science.
