uh since the theme for today is supper

nama we thought

that we tell you a little bit about

ourselves um derek

yeah so my journey into music started

really long time back

probably when i was in school i was in

this church choir

typical and and i started doing gigs

in 2015 so i’ve been playing gigs live

in pune mumbai bangalore for the last

four five years

i met nida a couple years ago yeah when

derek’s side doing gigs is when i

actually started learning music

um it’s been about four five five six

years to me learning music i started

pretty late

but i’ve been lucky to find like amazing

musicians to

perform with and learn from derek and i

have been

making music together since the past i

think two years two years since we met

we realized our voices sounded pretty

cool together so you’re like let’s give

this a try

yeah also we released a debut single she

released the debut single yeah now we

released a collaborative track together

called butterflies

and that’s actually what we’re going to

play next so hope you guys enjoy

uh the rest of the set and yeah have a

really nice the next time we’re going to

i wrote this quite a while back and uh

it’s a very cheesy love song

um when i’d written it the first time i

just wrote like a verse in a chorus

and i didn’t really write much after

that because i found it a bit too cheesy

and i

sort of kept it like on the side and i

was like i’m not writing stuff like this

no this is too cheesy and then i met

nida

and we were just going through my songs

and i showed her this song and she’s

like it’s a good song

and just write the second verse and we

wrote the second verse together and then

it just happened

and now we love the song so yeah this

one’s sweet love

last year of college i

had no idea what i was going to do with

my life at that point

i was completely lost and directionless

it’s been years and i still feel like

that sometimes it does creep in

um this is a song about embracing the

fact that we really don’t know what’s

going to happen in life and a lot of

things may be in our control but

some of them are definitely 20 20 is

like the perfect example of that

it really was we don’t know what’s

happening which is sort of

yeah going with the flow and trying to

figure things out as we go

so i hope you enjoy the song it’s called
