greetings ladies and gentlemen

picture something
that you really cherish a walk in a pub
stroll on the beach laughter of your

or maybe something you really enjoy
during the beautiful lunch you just had
now why are you picturing that image
in your head with your eyes closed i ask
any one of you
to get up from your seat and make it all
the way to your kitchen
without hitting any obstacles in the way
it
seems a little bit difficult at least
for majority of us
what you just experienced are the lives
of
285 million visually impaired
in the world my vision is to enable the
light of tomorrow
to allow them to see with the help of
their ears
and mouth but the question arrives
how i’m looking and developing assistive
technology
to help the visually impaired i’m not
here to replace
walking sticks or dining dogs no i need
to work complimentary to them
we basically want to increase the kinds
of information
that they can attain about their
vicinity with the help of our software
ladies and gentlemen i present to you a
live
the vision of tomorrow with the help of
our glasses we are capable of taking in
visual information
right around us and converting it into
audio information with the help of our
software
and then presenting it to our users
through any of these
and how exactly we do the seamless
processing of information
and what kinds of information will be
provided
well that brings me to the first feature
a live detect now a typical image
classifier would require you to take a
picture of something wait for about five
to ten seconds
and then tell you what you’re looking at
but
we wanted to be instantaneous which is
why we created
real time classification what it
basically means is that
when a person walks into the room points
its camera it will instantly start
recognizing objects
and one with the highest probability
will be spoken out
and this basically helps reduce the
chances of them colliding into the
objects
and help them understand what’s laid out
in the table without actually having to
touch anything now
while alive and can identify objects we
want to make it more
personalized and that’s why we
incorporate machine
learning which means after scanning
let’s say
your t-shirt it will no longer find
identify it as
t-shirt but as your white
t-shirt let me show you an example if
you look at the screen over there
the first image is of a highlight and
it’s identified as a heart but if you
look at the orange highlight over there
we trained alive to identify it as
brittle’s orange highlight
and the same thing could be applied to
t-shirts in your wardrobe
faces of your friends or medication when
we talk about
older generation and there are millions
of users
but you can add your own belongings to
your own personal library
making each product personalized
what makes the conversation live of
course the content and
i’m the visual cues i might say i’m fine
all right and i’m fine
i thought about this and that’s exactly
why i created the third feature
emotion senses it basically gives the
user information
about the happiness and so and when the
person is talking
it’s constantly tracking their face and
if the person is smiling elijah will
increase the happiness ratio
and our user will get to know how the
person is reacting to what they’re
saying
in the future we are planning on
developing our
own virtual assistant named olivia
olivia
will be your own personal assistant
controlled by voice comments and you’ll
be able to access every single feature
that i have mentioned previously
and secondly indoor map well
my goal is to have a live game talk to
you
like a gym and when you ask a librarian
how to get from point a to let’s see
your kitchen
it will tell you exact number of steps
and directions together
so you will say little this is just
another tech product what i’m presenting
in front of you
no my friends this is not just a product
this is a thinking
which is very near to my heart and most
of the products are not designed in
keeping
the challenging visually impaired in the
mind
i want to make this into movement we
want to start a movement which is
help visually impaired in the long run
ladies and gentlemen we have
learned to make a change we need to take
everyone along we have
learned that these technologies are not
just reserved for googles and test laws
and apples of the world
but for everyone i invite you to a
