I'd like to begin with a personal story
my grandmother was the daughter of a
woman who was the child of persons who
were enslaved on Rose Hill plantation in
North Carolina and as a consequence my
sist
so three times
i went down to the black lives matter
protest
i'm 66 years old so i've been to many
many demonstrations over the years but
this
one was really different
there were all these people hund

students experiences on their college

the african-american lived experience

interesting not in a light-hearted
dismissive
or jovial way but in a way that if you
are african-american
you kind of know what i'm talking about
