I came to talk about first principles
and communities that I love --
especially East Palo Alto, California,
which is full of amazing people.
It's also a community that's oddly separated
by the 101 fre

thinking about cities in terms of how
they are struggling and how they might
recover from both a health and an equity
crisis that we find ourselves in sure
when you think of most cities in the u.s
images like this come to mind little
green space lots of fast-moving cars
bumper-to-bumper traffic
and humans waiting at curbs and
crosswalks clearly outranked

planetary boundaries
