one of my
earliest childhood memories is a reading
in my illustrated book of fairy tales

opportunity
uh to share my thoughts um look

i'm nine years old i'm an indian climate
activist
and the founder of the child movement
thank you so much tedx khan k um for
inviting me
doubtless
climate change is a global problem
but its impact and its severity varies a
lot from one place to the other
after the arctic the mediterranean is
the fastest warming
region in the world it w

like so many of us
around the world i was absolutely
transformed through higher education
for my undergraduate degree i attended
wesleyan university
a small liberal arts school in
connecticut
when the pandemic hit
my entire country went into a lockdown
unfortunately we
had to give a paid leave to the house
help and the burden of the chores came
upon my mother and i
it was fine for the firs

we have a climate emergency
we need to take action now how can we
best do this
carbon emissions have been rising
steadily
for the past 200 years since the
pre-industrial era
through

having your head
in the clouds means that you are not
paying attention
and being out of touch with everyday
life
i want to tell you a different story how
paying attention to
when i first realized how big of a
problem climate change really is
i immediately wanted to act i wanted to
do something about it
so i went and googled how to solve
climate change
as a machine learnin

a friend of mine told me a story once
about what happened the last time a king
tide
affected his tiny island of palau
his twin brother and his brother's wife
and child were caught in a struggl
