Have you ever heard the idiom  

“To let your hair down?”
Can you guess what this idiom might mean? 

It means to relax.
To be uninhibited, to have some fun. 

I’ve been working too hard lately, I 
just need to just let my hair down. 

Now, when we use the idiom, we don’t actually 
literally mean to do anything to your hair.  

Anybody can say let your hair down, let my hair 
down, even if that person is bald and has no hair. 

It simply means “to relax”.
