hi i’m vanessa from speak english with
vanessa calm a lot of students don’t use
this expression naturally let’s talk
about it recently i’ve heard a lot of my
students make a lot of mistakes with
this word what’s the word a lot the word
is a lot but the problem is that they
don’t use the word a lot instead they
say things like many people want to
speak english this sentence is fine
there’s nothing grammatically wrong with
this sentence but it sounds a little bit
rigid or formal many people so instead i
want to encourage you to use the word a
lot a lot of people want to speak
english a lot I’ve heard sentences like
I ate many pieces of pizza today or I
drink many beers with my friends on the
weekend or I study English for many
times let’s change this a little bit
instead of using the word many let’s
simply use the word a lot a lot I ate a
lot of pizza yesterday I drank a lot of
beer with my friends I study English a
lot use the word a lot I’m going to be
