my name is trudy pooks i'm 15
and i'm diagnosed with two learning
disabilities and one attention
disability
oftentimes i'll be asked what is it like
to have adhd

since
childhood i've often been enamored by
displays of extraordinary memory
by people who seem to be no different
than you and i
i'm sure all of you probably felt the
same way on many an occasion

when i was 13
i started learning to play the guitar
and i immediately faced the challenges
that millions of kids
must have faced before me my fingers
were too small
to play the strings too weak to pre

we have one really big problem
we're terrible lovers and i'm not
talking about what happens or
what doesn't happen in german bedrooms

sitting in my very first university
class
i had done all the pre-reading
memorizing name
dates key figures events you name it and
i was ready for the professor to ask me
anything

march 2020 just before the spring break
in america out of nowhere
colleges and universities announced they
are shutting down the campuses
students were asked to leave the
dormitories and go hom

in a big city at a large international
