Origami is Life

people you people may think that origami
is bad but actually life is origami
some hard times like the bad days easy
times for the good days and
mild times like when you pay bills
something you don’t want to do but have
to in origami those hard times are like
having a headache or failing a test
those easier times are like getting in a
getting an a plus
blankets and trips to kennywood in
washington dc
those mild times are like when you
when you have a spelling test when you
have an okay day when you have something
you don’t want to do
but have to today someone today some of
you may not be happy about this
but we are gonna learn how to create a
paper crane
i’m gonna tell you a day in the life of
jim bob the folding genius
we we are going to tell we are
we are going to create a paper crane
together through his life story
jim bob wakes up in the morning feeling
fresh and awake he makes his bed by
first folding the by first folding his
bed from corner to corner
he goes into the bathroom and grabs the
toothpaste tube
he cannot get the toothpaste out so he
folds it up into a rectangle
and back open again so he can see how
much he
then he gets on the bus and goes to
school
and then he has to take a spelling test
which is a little harder but not that
bad
he takes his spelling test except he hi
he is using cursive so he has to slam
his paper into a diamond
after after he is done taking his test
his teacher makes him fold it into a
diamond shape and put it in an envelope
after that it is math which is pretty
hard for him because
they have to multiply six by two six by
six digit multiplication equations
in order to solve his six digit problem
he has to fold his paper
six times
so this is one
two
three
and four and then
five and
six
when he gets into writing class he opens
up his notebook
he then folds the page down so it stays
writing comes next and they have to
write a tda literally a five paragraph
essay
and boy that takes a long time to write
after tda wait
after tda there’s lunch and recess at
recess he
plays kickball which is not that hard
for him
even though he is very clumsy
when he was playing kickball he was
running he slipped and fell
and rolled on his side
he fell he fell once to the side from
left
to right and then he fell over again the
same way
when he was getting up he fell the same
way the same number of times again
so
to get up he did a double front flip and
every launch year
hip hip for hooray for jim bob the
jimbobian
when he was running he fell again the
same way twice on his side
he rolled over from right to left
after school he goes into his home
he goes home and goes on and gets on his
bean bag trip
with his brother and puts a bunch of
blankets over them
they both get out leaving a crumble on
the beanbag chair
he also puffs up his pillow while he’s
at it then he is done for the day
while he was laying in bed he realized
that origami is life
and i hope you’ll realize this too the
crane that we just made
stands for all of life’s successes and
challenges
in okay days the hope is that this
crane takes you wherever you want to go
in the future and beyond
