I teach history
at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
On February 14, 2018,
my school experienced one of the worst mass school shootings in American history.
People want to know what we saw,
what I
Everyone has a story,
and that story is filled with chapters
that have made us who we are today.
Those early chapters of that story
sometimes are the ones that define us the most.

i knew even then that i wanted t
everyone needs a coach it doesn't matter

good afternoon I am NOT a farmer I'm not
I'm a parent I'm a resident and I'm a
teacher and this is my world along the
way I've started noticing I'm on my
third generation of kids that they're
getting
I'd love to be the compassionate teacher;
the tough, but fair teacher.
But to my brilliant young minds,
these scholars for whom I'd stand up at all costs,
I'm the sweaty teacher.

college as a journalism major
i figured that teaching would be kind of
my fallback

awkward than anyone else that i knew
